Fungicide reminder

Just a quick reminder that this is the critical time to maintain stem rot control. From now until the end of the month, be sure that a fungicide that offers protection against stem rot is part of your spray program.

For example:
Provost at 8 -10 oz (best protection at higher rate)
Abound at 12-18 oz
Headline at 15 oz (may be less effective than above)
tebuconazole at 7.2 oz + 1 pt chlorothalonil or 6 oz Headline
Convoy at 13-16 oz + 1.5 pt cholrothalonil or 6-9 oz Headline

Scout for stem rot to be sure you are keeping it under control. As part of your scouting, pull up a few plants and check for evidence of the fungus (thick white growth) below ground.
