[peanutadvisory] Leaf spot advisories begin tomorrow

Leaf spot advisories will start tomorrow. Reply to me (barbara_shew@ncsu.edu) if you want to be removed from the advisory mailing list or if you are receiving duplicate advisories. Sclerotinia advisories will begin later this month.

Begin sprays by R3 regardless of advisory. There is little to no data supporting the need for North Carolina growers to start spraying earlier than R3 in well-rotated fields, but some growers may feel more comfortable starting their spray programs sooner. This has the potential to increase the total number of sprays needed because protection is necessary through early- to mid-September.

Information about how to use advisories is attached and also can be found at the NCSU Peanut Portal https://peanut.ces.ncsu.edu/2019/06/leaf-spot-advisory-example-peanut-notes-no-116-2019/
