Conditions following a hurricane usually are very favorable for disease development and fields may be too wet to use spray equipment for several days. If you are in the path of Hurricane Irene, protect peanuts with a fungicide if it has been 10 days or more since the last spray. Tebuconazole is NOT recommended since it has low rainfastness and is weak against late leaf spot.
