Today's advisory emails will be the last for this season.
Leaf spot fungicides are effective for 14 days, which is also the PHI
for most fungicides. No further applications will be needed for growers
who plan to dig in the next two weeks.
As long as we have nights in the lower 60's and dry weather, not much
more will happen with leaf spot that currently is under control. That
said, leaf spot can explode if you have a good case going already and
the weather is right. If the nights warm up to the upper 60's, moisture
is good (no drought stress), and you are still 2 weeks or more from
harvest, another spray could be justified.
We will be running disease advisory programs in-house for a few more
weeks and can provide updated advisories on request. Please don't
hesitate to ask questions about your specific situation.
